A Supernatural Town
A small and once forgotten town in the state of New York, Harper Valley has quite the history. War, rivalries, and bloodshed are only a few of the things associated with the once abandoned town but those only scratch the surface. Harper Valley was founded in 1800 by Jonathan Harper, along with his family and close friends. They fought to create the perfect town for those who wished to escape the ever growing New York City and for a time succeeded. Unknowingly to them the mountains they settled near were not only beautiful, but also held an ancient secret. Powerful amounts of energy consumes the land and mountains themselves, making the area a 'hotspot' for supernatural. Thousands have tried to harness the mountains enormous power but only one group of people succeeded, but at a terrible cost.
Although an Indian tribe, the Tonkawa, who resided in the area in the early 11th century was responsible for the protection of the magical energy as well as the mountains themselves they themselves eventually became corrupted and ultimately closed the entrance to the heart of the mountains - the source and most powerful part of the mountains - even to their own kin. While the tribe did harness the magical energy it is said that they were one of the sources of a number of the supernatural species creation, the American Werewolf being one, but there is no solid proof of them creating anything other than American Werewolves. Regardless if they contributed or not some supernatural species fraternized with humans and ultimately created new species, some inspired legends and myths known all around the world, while others kept to themselves and tried their best to blend in. Because of the enormous amount of power surrounding the mountains the land was known to attract all kinds of species, for good and bad reasons.
For years the Harper Valley townspeople were aware of the dangers that surrounded them and although at first they disproved of anything non-human in their town, eventually a treaty was formed. As long as there was peace among the people anyone - human or not - could reside in Harper Valley but just like most good things, however, that didn't last forever. In 1864, when the Civil war was raging on throughout the northern and southern states, Harper Valley underwent an event that would decide the fate of the town. No one knows exactly who or what started it but the ending result wasn't pleasant.
Unsolved murders with unusual circumstances started to plague the town and although people outside of Harper Valley would have blamed it on the war but the residents knew better. Others also claimed the supernatural were trying to take over the town and claim it as theirs but there is no solid evidence supporting the claims. In the end the townspeople revolted against those they blamed and ultimately a war broke out and those three days of bloodshed only ended in tragedy. After the battle between humans and the supernatural was over the town was in turmoil and would never be the same again. No one knows exactly who won the battle, but everyone knew that no one won the war. With death and destruction the demise of Harper Valley followed; Most left their homes and businesses to escape the fighting while others simply perished during the battle. Empty homes and streets now filled the town and any sign of the once beautiful place thriving again was far from sight. However some did stay and managed to survive with little resources.
For those families who stayed, in 1900, their lives would change drastically once again. The town was seized by the government and renovations began in 1901. Old homes were fixed up, new businesses built and public buildings such as the library, public school, and a brand new Town Hall were established by the end of 1904. With people quickly moving in the longtime residents were both thrilled and cautious, knowing that not everyone who decided to live in the small town would be normal but no one knew who could be trusted. Despite their concerns they welcomed the revival of their town and vowed to protect it from the same fate again.
After 108 years Harper Valley is still a flourishing but small town with little over 1,000 residents. It's hard to give an exact number on how many are human or not but suspicions have been rising and rumors brewing that the towns 'supernatural' population is at an all-time high. No one knows how long they have been hiding in the small town since its revival, or even if they had ever left, but more encounters with them have recently surfaced within the past year, convincing more people of their existence but yet no one dares to report their experiences to the authorities for fear of ridicule.
Now with the fear of history repeating itself some of the townspeople are on edge. Those who know the truth fear the non-human beings while some even take it upon themselves to hunt these creatures. With the treaty no longer able to protect those who wish to call Harper Valley home, supernaturals must now rely on blending in and staying hidden if they wish to survive.

The City That Never Sleeps
New York is in the grips of a small turf war between Werewolves and Vampires. The other species are either trying to focus on their own or struggling to keep the peace and the secret of supernatural existence. The Sentella, a human hunter group based in Brooklyn, has taken it upon themselves to keep the Vampires and Werewolves from going into an all-out war that will expose them as well as keeping individuals from stepping out of line due to fear that the confrontation between the two supernaturals will affect the humans of New York City in devastating ways. The Magi and Shapeshifters are equally fearful but choose to remain out of the cross fire unless they feel their land and their people are in danger.
BROOKLYN
Secretly run by the Sentella, the group keeps all humans in the area protected. It’s their turf, and they demand to know any species passing into it. They hunt in the other boroughs, but they do not outright kill unless humans are being threatened in front of them. Otherwise they try to keep a shaky peace in an attempt to keep the mundane humans blissfully ignorant of the creatures that lurk among them.
MANHATTAN & THE BRONX
The Omni have presided over both of Manhattan and The Bronx for decades, but a pack of Werewolves has moved in with the intention of getting their own foothold into the Bronx. Not on any sort of good terms with any Vampire or Vampire authority, the Alpha wants his own share of NYC and will stop at nothing to obtain it. This has brought tension, not just between Vampires and Werewolves, but also every other species inhabiting the city as well and many believe these two boroughs will be the start of a devastating war.
QUEENS
Queens is protected by the Strega, an appointed group of Magi assigned to the borough by The Scarlet Council. So far this hasn’t been hard to do, but seeing the turf war between the Omni and the Werewolf pack, concern is spreading. The Strega are worried that it won’t stop and the war will spread. Now they are looking for support from the Council, the Shapeshifters, and Sentella in case the conflict reaches them.
STATEN ISLAND
Staten Island is currently the home of the Shapeshifters. At this point, they are keen on remaining neutral but are prepared to fight if the need arises. Their current source of protection comes from a group of elite fighters called The Sentinal and it is their duty to protect the people as well as their safe haven. Though the Shapeshifters prefer to remain out of the conflict they have been known to infiltrate other groups and perhaps even influence certain decisions.

The City Of Sin
To most mortals it is considered Sin City, the home of nefarious activities that don't follow you back home, but what they are unaware of is the much darker side of Las Vegas that takes place under the cover of night. Unbeknownst to the humans that visit the city for fun filled nights, Las Vegas is almost entirely run by supernatural beings that have managed to keep their true identities hidden while also standing out in the open. Currently Vegas is split by two prominent and powerful Vampire families, the Vinci and the Markov's, who also run the supernatural black market and are known for their rivalry and constant fighting over territory and power.
The black market is known for selling, promoting, and housing anything illegal whether it be human or supernatural related but this doesn't make it all bad, the black market is also a major hangout for any supernatural species and is magically hidden from any mortal eyes. While 'The Market', as most call it, can be considered a safe haven from the humans that doesn't necessarily mean that the supernatural are protected from their own kind. If unprotected supe's have been known to go missing, often times taken for their services, blood, or their venom, unless willingly offered of course. The world outside the black market is worse off, supernatural beings and humans alike oftentimes are taken from the busy Vegas streets and never seen again. Most end up as donors, servants, or even a combatant who must fight their way to freedom in the Were Arena.
With the growing numbers of supernatural creatures that have been taken for various reasons there is a group of them rising up in return. The Resistance was ultimately formed by the Werewolves to rebel against the Were Arenas created by the Markov family but eventually their numbers were populated by species that have been wronged in Las Vegas. The Scarlett Council has recently discovered the trafficking of Magi blood and has decided to take action along with a group of Hybrids who have been used by Vampires for their blood.
With the main Vampire families in the middle of a territory war, the Werewolves and Werecats joining together to retaliate against the Vampires, and the Magi and Hybrids just working to protect their livelihoods, Vegas is in the midst of a Supernatural war that is bound to explode at any given moment.
