GOALS: PERSONALITY: Virginia was once a normal, sweet girl. That was until the hallucinations started. A young girl could only take so much torment without being corrupted for good. Because of the hallucinations since early childhood she became paranoid, neurotic, and often times violent depending on the hallucination. Most days she appears to be a normal person and experiences no hallucinations except for times of stress or depression. As she got older however the hallucinations became more frequent and without cause which for a time made it difficult for her to tell between reality and her minds tricks. Now after years of experience and control she no longer suffers from her hallucinations, only so when under extreme stress, but her delusions and paranoia is still present. Due to her time in the mental hospital and because of her 'disease' she has become skilled in deception and manipulation. As time went on she taught herself how to do so without using her ability, despite finding enjoyment out of using it but it required a lot of energy. Her manipulation methods are described as playful and violent, mixing the two in various combinations to suit her needs as well as the purpose for the torture. Virginia is a lover of games and will often use that interest in her hallucinations such as making people solve puzzles, overcome almost impossible tasks, and the most fun of all play with their emotions and beliefs. There are no boundaries for this woman and she will gladly cross yours. Along with her hallucinations Virginia suffers from Intermittent Explosive Disorder. The smallest things set her off into a blind rage. Despite what it seems she does try to control her temper but it is something beyond her control, in which also upsets her. During times of necessary anger she becomes cold, unforgiving, relentless and unreasonable, unless you offer her something she wants in return for her anger to subside but it must be pretty damn good for her to calm down once already heated. Virginia also is possessive and controlling. Her need to control her hallucinations and paranoia (the latter being impossible) turned Virginia into a bit of a control freak. And if she doesn't get her way she'll flip. Virginia is also known to be a bit of a narcissist. Despite her many flaws she still thinks very highly of herself and secretly, wants everyone else to too. She often times comes off as uncaring but in a sense she does care. She cares what others think of her, to an extent, and inadvertently tries to get people to think as highly of her as she does herself. She doesn't care about making best friends but because of her need to feel needed, as well as her paranoia, she prefers to keep her acquaintances close and her enemies even closer. Still, being a woman who constantly needs entertainment and attention she does actually try to be nice to those who haven't wronged her (yet) in order to have a bit of company, a luxury she barely received while in the hospital. Virginia has no problem being civil and friendly but she will never trust you and never let you get too close. As uncaring as she may seem she even has her limits. She is against animal abuse, child abuse, and of course woman abuse. She is very biased due to her past and would gladly help a animal, child, or woman in dire need, but no man. The twins preceded another child, a boy, who would become the final addition to the Cross family. Bastian Cross was a psychiatric doctor and Marianne was a nurse working under him. After the two married Marianne quit her job and became a full time housewife. At first the couple had trouble conceiving. Eventually they believed Marianne to be barren and ceased on starting a family. Desperate for children however Marianne, a secretly practicing witch, attempted to use magic to initiate the pregnancy but at first failed. In a desperate final attempt Marianne eventually used dark magic to conceive her child and after months of dedication the ritual worked. Nine months later the couple was blessed with not one but two bundles of joy and were ever more delighted. Three years later the couple unexpectedly conceived Michael and finally their family was complete. The family lived normal, happy lives. The twins grew up normally, even Virgina, until one night when night terrors started to terrorize young Virginia. Within a weeks time the hallucinations began and as the years went on they steadily became worse. At one point the hallucinations and temper tantrums stopped for a period of time, the family thinking she was finally cured but from one fatal action they were quickly proven wrong. During one of her hallucinations Virginia accidentally killed her twin sister and as a result was placed into the mental institution her father worked at. Because of who she was she was given better treatment than the other patients but to her it didn't matter. Virginia was heartbroken over killing her only best friend but yet at the same time she enjoyed the act as well and from that point on Virginia was never the same. After being admitted to the hospital she made several attempts to escape, even killing one of the nurses in self defense (as she would say) but failed every time. After a while she gave up but that didn't mean she made the nurses and doctor's lives easy, especially her fathers. Virginia spent the rest of her childhood in the mental hospital and was finally released at age 23 due to tremendous progress in her diseases, the doctor's believing her to be 'cured'. Once she left the hospital however she never looked back and that was the last time she ever talked to her father again. Since then she had conversed with her mother and brother here and there until their death's. Shortly after being released from the hospital Virginia met a man she quickly fell in love with. The two weren't together for more than a couple of months before they were married. Unknowingly to Virginia however the man wasn't all he appeared to be. Once married Virgina's husband changed for the worse. It wasn't long that Virginia herself became a victim like her mother and was forced into the housewife lifestyle. To some this wouldn't seem that bad but as the years went on their relationship became strained, fights broke out constantly, mostly about her lack of child barring. When the beatings started that was when Virginia sought out the comfort of a friend of her mother who would in turn introduce Virginia to her magical roots. Virginia picked up on magic quickly and found to be very skilled in it. She practiced secretly, starting with simple, natural magic but it never felt enough. It wasn't until Virginia was almost beaten to an inch of her life did she follow in her mother's footsteps and began to take on dark magic as a means to protect herself. As time went on and the beatings increased Virginia finally had had enough. Shortly before their anniversary Virginia murdered her husband and used his sacrifice for a ritual that would increase her power and hopefully make her immortal. Though it did not make her immortal it did slow the aging process more so than if she had used natural magic as well as gave her a rush of power she had never felt before. From this she became addicted to not only dark magic but killing as well and to this day will even do so out of pure entertainment. |
